Agent chạy trong phiên đăng nhập của bạn, nên Mac phải đăng nhập được sau khi khởi động. Bật System Settings → Users & Groups → Tự động đăng nhập. Khi FileVault bật, macOS không cho tự đăng nhập: sau mỗi lần khởi động lại, cần có người nhập mật khẩu tại Mac thì MacGuard mới kết nối lại.

Được, nhưng khi chạy pin MacGuard nhả chế độ chống ngủ để tiết kiệm pin, và gập nắp sẽ làm Mac ngủ. Muốn luôn kết nối: cắm sạc, và nếu gập nắp thì phải nối màn hình ngoài (clamshell). Mac để bàn (Mac mini, Mac Studio, iMac) không gặp vấn đề này.

Không có Full Disk Access, lệnh đụng tới thư mục được bảo vệ (Documents, Desktop, Downloads, Mail…) sẽ bị từ chối, hoặc macOS hiện hộp thoại xin quyền trên màn hình Mac. Cấp quyền: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Full Disk Access, thêm /Applications/MacGuard.app/Contents/Library/LoginItems/MacGuard Agent.app (hoặc chạy lại hướng dẫn từ menu MacGuard).

Máy chủ chuyển tiếp không còn nhận ra Mac này: Mac bị xóa vì 60 ngày không kết nối, hoặc vì 7 ngày chưa ghép iPhone nào. Bấm Đăng ký lại Mac này trong menu MacGuard, rồi ghép lại iPhone bằng mã QR.

Gỡ các iPhone đã ghép trong Cài đặt… của MacGuard, thoát app, rồi xóa MacGuard khỏi Applications (agent nằm trong app nên bị xóa theo). Chế độ không ngủ đã đặt bằng pmset vẫn giữ; khôi phục bằng sudo pmset restoredefaults.

The agent runs in your login session, so the Mac must log in after boot. Turn on System Settings → Users & Groups → Automatic login. With FileVault on, macOS does not allow automatic login: after each restart someone must enter the password at the Mac before MacGuard reconnects.

Yes, but on battery MacGuard releases its sleep prevention to save power, and closing the lid puts the Mac to sleep. To stay connected, keep it on power, and if the lid is closed use an external display (clamshell mode). Desktop Macs (Mac mini, Mac Studio, iMac) are not affected.

Without Full Disk Access, commands that touch protected folders (Documents, Desktop, Downloads, Mail…) are denied, or macOS shows a permission prompt on the Mac's screen. To grant it: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Full Disk Access, add /Applications/MacGuard.app/Contents/Library/LoginItems/MacGuard Agent.app (or rerun the setup guide from the MacGuard menu).

The relay server no longer knows this Mac: it was deleted after 60 days without connecting, or after 7 days without pairing any iPhone. Click Re-register This Mac in the MacGuard menu, then pair your iPhone again with the QR code.

Remove paired iPhones in MacGuard Settings…, quit the app, then delete MacGuard from Applications (the agent lives inside the app and goes with it). The no-sleep pmset settings stay; restore them with sudo pmset restoredefaults.
